The top insert is used in conjunction with the top plate and top clamp
It slides in the top end of your liner to ensure that a secure connection is made to the top clamp to stop the liner compressing
The basic cowl with mesh is designed to fit directly to your liner to ensure that no rain gets in to your liner, with the enhancement of a mesh casing to stop birds nesting in your liner
The cowl slides over the top of the liner and can be screwed into place with self tapping screws (not supplied) or alternatively can be cemented in to place at the top of the stack

The top plate is used at the top of your chimney stack in conjunction with the top clamp and top insert to hold the liner in place should you not have a chimney pot
The top plate is used to seal off your chimney stack, but has a pre-cut hole in the middle for the corresponding size of liner you require

The nose cone is placed on the end of your liner to ensure that your liner doesn’t become damaged as it’s pulled down the stack
Attach the nose cone to the end of the liner that you are going to drop down your stack with draw string (not provided)
You can use gaffa tape to secure the connection of the cone to the liner
