PIR Insulation Board is a type of floor/wall/roof insulation board composed of a fiber-free rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation core and has an integral vapor control layer to reduce the risk of condensation. It is faced with aluminium foil layer on both sides. PIR thermal insulation board is a long-lasting product with improved thermal and fire performance. If you are looking for a universal and cost-effective solution for insulating floors, walls, pitched roofs and ceilings then this roof insulation board will be your primary choice.
Use & Application
The insulation board can be used on both new constructions and upgrading the thermal insulation of an existing one. Therefore, it is suitable for:
- Floors
- Pitched roofs & cold flat roofs
- Ceilings
- Timber frame walls & solid walls
Benefits
- Excellent thermal & fire performance
- Environmentally friendly
- Durable and maintenance-free
- Provides a cost-effective mean of reducing CO2 emissions

Eurothane GP is a general purpose PIR insulation board. Applications include: Pitched Roofs, Solid Masonry Walls, Timber Framed & Steel Framed Systems, Floors. Contains low emissivity foil facings. Thermal Conductivity 0.022 W/mK. Recticel
EcoTherm’s best-known insulation product EcoTherm Eco-Versal is a general purpose PIR board for use in domestic, commercial and industrial applications. Offering thermal conductivity as low as 0.022 W/mK, EcoTherm Eco-Versal insulation boards can be purchased in over 10 thicknesses from 25mm to 150mm.
Quinn Therm PIR Insulation is a high performance, fibre free board, with a rigid thermoset insulation core and faced on both sides with a low emissivity composite foil facing. The high compressive strength of Quinn Therm QF enables it to withstand the dead and imposed loads transmitted through the floor. Quinn Therm PIR is suitable for new build and refurbishments projects in both domestic and commercial build. With specific properties that optimise the performance of underfloor heating. For suspended timber floors in particular, Quinn Therm PIR reduces heat loss by an air infiltration method, making it the ideal solution for upgrading the thermal performance of existing floors. These low emissivity facings increases its thermal resistance of unventilated air space adjacent to the insulation, improving the roof’s overall thermal performance. Designed for warm pitched or ventilated cold flat roof constructions on new build projects or on refurbishment projects where the roof is to be stripped and re-covered
XR4000 is a rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board with high thermal performance. Available up to 200mm thick, low U-values can be achieved without doubling-up insulation layers. Celotex boards are lightweight and rigid; making them easy to handle, transport, and fit on site, and suitable for applications including: ● Ground floors – whether solid concrete, block and beam, or suspended timber joist, and including where underfloor heating is used. ● Timber and steel framed walls – between the studs. ● Pitched roofs – between the rafters. ● Flat roofs – in ventilated cold roof constructions, installed from inside the building. ● Other retrofit and refurbishment projects – lining existing timber and masonry structures to make them more thermally efficient.
Loft Roll 44 is a flexible low density glass mineral wool quilt which is lightweight, flexible, resilient and non-combustible. The rolls are 1140mm wide and partially perforated to produce either 2 rolls 570mm wide or 3 rolls 380mm wide. Primarily used for the thermal insulation of pitched roofs at ceiling level, it can also be used to thermally insulate floors. Long roll lengths to minimise number of rolls required per installation Partially cut perforations and has flexibility to be used between 400mm and 600mm joists or used unsplit Combines thermal, acoustic and fire performance Loft Roll 44 is odourless, rot proof, non hygroscopic, does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria
